Position Summary:
The Human Resources Associate provides administrative support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources such as recruitment and staffing, personnel records, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and/or equal opportunity/affirmative action.The Human Resources Associate providessupport and services that facilitate greater plant and/or organizational effectiveness.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure compliance to Federal, State, and Company policies to include personnel and labor relations.Provide GMP, HACCP and Food Safety training for Plant personnel.Ensure that all employees follow good manufacturing practices.
  • Assists in maintaining personnel records.
  • Assists in supporting issues for employees, or labor relations, compensation, benefits applications, employment opportunities and affirmative action.
  • Process a variety of confidential forms, may process enrollment, and pay changes, informational and other pre-employment screening information.
  • May support employee communications by responding to routine questions on human relations' policies and procedures, identifying potential issues and grievances, etc.
  • Perform data entry into various hiring, Human Capital Management, and payroll software systems for all new hires and other changes as needed.
  • Coordinate all activities relative to the processing of requests for employment verifications, worker's comp documents, etc.
  • Assist in preparation of special projects such as Power Point presentations, skills development training, etc.
  • Relief for receptionist and mail distribution responsibilities in the absence of designated staff member.
  • Other administrative support duties as assigned.
Education and Work History:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent is required. Some college education is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Maintenance of the confidentiality of any personal or company information encountered.
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written & oral) skills.
  • Must have some knowledge of federal and state labor laws - experience with labor relations environments and collective bargaining agreements a plus.
  • Computer literate. ORACLE experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
