In 2022, Spectra Tech was awarded 'Small Business of the Year' for 2021 by the U.S. Department of Energy Position Overview We are seeking an HR Generalist I with at least 2 years of experience to support Human Resources operations. This role will focus primarily on onboarding activities, with some exposure to payroll or a willingness to learn. The position involves a variety of administrative responsibilities supporting HR functions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and manage onboarding of new employees Set up and maintain personnel files Perform data entry using Taleo Enter employee benefit information into: Taleo ATS System Paycor Unanet Support new hire in-processing, including: Background checks Drug screenings Physicals with third-party vendors Communicate with employees and managers regarding benefits questions Complete personnel forms, mandated reports, logs, and records Maintain data integrity within HR systems Monitor unemployment claims Become familiar with employment law and affirmative action requirements Complete employment verifications as requested Verify new hire eligibility through E-Verify Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Option 1: Two (2) years of college with coursework in business administration or a related discipline and 1-2 years of experience OR Option 2: No college degree with 5-7 years of progressive administrative experience Required Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Experience with Unanet and/or Taleo At Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time-personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
