Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Corporate Attorney to work in our Legal department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule, onsite in our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide legal advice and service on legal issues concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of the corporation. Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits and act as an agent of the corporation in legal transactions.
  • Provide timely, competent legal advice and support to the leadership of the corporation, such as the Board of Directors, the executive officers, and other managers.
  • Consult on and/or handle all corporate legal processes.
  • Develop company policy as requested.
  • Develop corporate position on legal issues.
  • Ensure that legal documents issued by the corporation are in good order.
  • Provide legal guidance relevant to corporate governance, including the overall legal and policy framework of managing the corporation, including oversight of the operations and performance of the various aspects, departments, teams, and units of the corporation.
  • Research, anticipate and guard the company against legal risks.
  • Provide legal guidance to ensure corporate compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain proficiency in all assigned areas of law.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school and at least six (6) years of experience.
  • Legal experience in relevant areas. Specific areas may include labor and employment law; environmental law; government contracting law; contact law; construction law; and corporate law; commercial litigation; regulatory and administrative law; intellectual property law; export control and privacy regulations, among others.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

  • The pay range for this position is Level 5- Salary Grade 470 ($137,076-$281,196)/Level 6- Salary Grade 480 ($164, 592-$337,428)
  • At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires the operation of office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people can be required.
