hiring a Mechanical Engineer at our Allfast Fastening Systems location in City of
Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading global manufacturer of solid and blind
rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry. Our

JOB SUMMARY:

Plans and directs research and development activities
to introduce new products for manufacture. Conducts analytical studies on
engineering proposals to develop design for products. Reviews and directs
activities for current products that are subject to revisions. Directs and
coordinates manufacturing processes in the industrial plant required for the
development of new products and/or execution of continuous improvement.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities
and Competencies:


Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, cost of project, and equipment required.
Develops and implements methods for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures, research findings, and progress reports to inform management of status of each project.
Identifies, in conjunction with sales and engineering management, promising areas of fastener products that address unmet needs and have potential market share available.
Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products.
Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal.
Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.
Plans and develops experimental test programs.
Analyzes test data, reports to determine if design meets functional, and performance specifications.
Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variable.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City of Industry, CA location.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's
degree from an accredited four-year College or university in engineering discipline.

Three (3) years related engineering experience, including experience with
research and development responsibility in a high-volume manufacturing
environment with methods and processing exposure.

Minimum of three (3) years'
experience using Solidworks
ERP experience creating
Bill of Materials
Proven experience
working in a design for manufacturing environment
Experienced at effective
Root Cause Analysis
Excels in a fast-paced
work environment
Continuous Improvement
Experience

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Other Qualifications:

Some travel may be required.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software; Development software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
