Acara Solutions is hiring an Accountant to support one of our top clients in the manufacturing industry. This role will support the Shared Service Accounting organization by performing complex accounting activities across IFRS 15, IFRS 16, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

The Accountant will partner closely with business units and senior leadership to ensure accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes, compliance with IFRS and internal Financial Reporting Guidelines, and support for ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.

* Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries and perform account reconciliations
* Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, financial reporting, and audit requirements
* Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues across IFRS areas including revenue, leases, FX, and impairments
* Support SAP/Oracle ERP processes, including inventory accounting and system functionality improvements
* Partner with business units and IT to improve processes, ensure compliance, and support ad hoc projects

* 7 years of private accounting experience
* 5 years of experience resolving complex/non-routine accounting issues and working with senior management
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

* Master's Degree in Accounting
* CPA certification
* Inventory and cost accounting experience
* Strong ERP experience (SAP and/or Oracle)
* Strong IFRS knowledge and Financial Reporting Guidelines experience
* Advanced Excel, SQL, Access, and financial analysis skills
* Strong communication skills with ability to interact across all levels of management
* Project management and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities

* Must be able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
* May require occasional overtime during close cycles or critical deadlines
