JSOM) at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a dynamic, skilled, and forwardthinking
Program Director to lead its innovative
Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program.
This key staff position provides leadership and oversight for all activities and initiatives related to the BS degree in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the student experience from admission through placement; monitoring program quality and ensuring the implementation of best practices in compliance with internal academic policies; and serving as a liaison between students and faculty to create and lead academic initiatives that support the school's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
The role also includes developing initiatives to improve enrollment and program rankings, enhancing the effectiveness of student services and support, and cultivating strategic partnerships with organizations, employers, and industry partners to strengthen student engagement and learning opportunities. The Program Director must be an effective communicator who works collaboratively with faculty, administrators, students, and external constituencies and demonstrates professionalism, collegiality, and strong interpersonal skills.

| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree; Five years experience in a related field of expertise; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

- Graduate degree in a related field (e.g., MS in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science).
- Five years of in academic or professional settings in the IT, analytics, or artificial intelligence areas.

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Degree Program Management (45%)
- Develop innovative recruiting and orientation plans; track student admissions; and implement yield strategies to increase enrollment, including attending prospective student events and orientations.
- Conduct competitive market analysis, develop program offerings, and support efforts to improve national program rankings.
- Manage AACSB assessment activities, exit surveys, and related reporting.
- Oversee curriculum management in consultation with faculty (e.g., identify gaps, enhance existing courses, add new courses or certificates); update academic catalogs; and collaborate with the Area Coordinator on course scheduling.
- Recruit and interview adjunct faculty and manage program-related conferences, the Industry Advisory Board (IAB), and case competitions.
- Develop and maintain program visibility through social media, marketing brochures, orientation materials, information session presentations, and web content updates; design alumni engagement programs and events (e.g., guest lectures, panel discussions, mentoring, resume reviews, social events) and proactively connect alumni with current students.
Student Services (45%)
- Advise students from entry to exit on admissions, scholarships, visa inquiries, program planning, mentoring, course selection, prerequisites, grade grievances and appeals, instructor concerns, internships, careers, and job placement.
- Work collaboratively with the Advising Office to resolve student issues and concerns.
- Conduct regular town halls or information sessions to address student questions.
- Measure, track, and report program data (e.g., admissions, retention, internships, job placements, industry engagement, and Dean's meetings) to the department and the Dean's Office.
- Manage student organizations and program ambassadors and plan and implement mentoring programs (faculty, peer, and industry).
Other Duties (10%)
- Provide assistance, as needed, to the department and the Dean's Office in support of program-related initiatives and projects.
