PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Serve as training support for new distribution center employees as part of the standing up of a new distribution center.
- Provide warehouse and on-the-job training for all employees of a distribution center or warehouse, ranging from clerk to receiver to driver.
- Monitor and track training to ensure employees meet onboarding milestones.
- Travel to all distribution centers and possibly surrounding branches to provide training.
- Identify high-potential new employees during training.
- Provide mentorship to employees to ensure they receive all necessary and desired training.
- Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training and Crescent Electric Training Guide (CETG) content is accurate and up to date.
- Support company goals and objectives.
- Adhere to all safety policies.
- Maintain housekeeping, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Apply excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present training to all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and achieve results without direct leadership responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to successfully communicate information to people with varying levels of technical understanding.
- Ability and willingness to provide current, direct, and constructive feedback, and take action to resolve issues, as needed.
- Ability and drive to provide the customer with a smooth and positive experience during training programs and interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to exercise patience for fielding questions and helping users of all skill levels to understand the material.
- Proficient in computer programs such as Zoom, and Microsoft Office Programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability and means to travel up to 75% of the time, with overnight stays.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Operations, Training, or field related to the job duties; or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates Degree.
- 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
- 6+ months of experience working in a training and/or lead capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety practices.
