McLean Hospital is seeking to fill a full-time Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) position in our new Metabolic Psychiatry Center outpatient clinic. This clinic is dedicated to the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders with a particular focus on integrating metabolic psychiatry approaches into routine clinical care. The outpatient services will play a key role in supporting and complementing real-world evidence on how metabolic interventions influence patient outcomes.
As part of a comprehensive outpatient program, the LICSW will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide individual and group therapy, offer family support in both individual and group settings, and coordinate case management services. The LICSW will collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team, using a flexible and patient-centered approach to support individuals seeking care in the clinic. In addition to these core responsibilities, the LICSW will assist with research-related activities, including patient education about clinical studies procedures, integration of psychosocial insights into study workflows, coordination of research-related study visits, and accurate documentation of behavioral health data. Candidates must be independently licensed in the state of Massachusetts, LICSW. Experience working with children and/or adults and familiarity with treating patients with a range of mental health conditions is preferred. Summary This position will collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans that support patient-centered plans of care for both individual patients and the medical community. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans. -Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. -Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
