Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Safety Coordinator for our CPU team, and our ideal candidate will possess a passion for impacting lives and our community. The primary purpose of this position is to help to maintain a safe and healthy work environment at our on-site host employer ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards in a manufacturing environment and works with CPU to maintain compliance.

Essential Duties

Your Day-to-Day Leadership includes Activities such as these:

  • Drives 5-S program and standardization and completes root cause analysis for safety, quality and machine malfunction incidents.
  • Assists on-site host employer with drafting of job safety analysis for manufacturing lines to include PPE hazard assessment and help to draft written safety programs.
  • Provides on-site host employer required safety training to manufacturing team. Implement a behavior observation program and establish a safety culture among the CPU manufacturing team and all talent.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 form for CPU area.
  • Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Represents the organization in community or industry transportation safety organizations and programs. Audit and Maintains safety files and records.

Competencies

Competencies we value for this role include:

B.S. Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or any Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with or working knowledge of OSHA VPP Programs. Thorough knowledge of OSHA Standards is required. 5 years minimum of Occupational Safety experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with writing safety programs to include Job Safety Analysis. Experience conducting hands-on safety training directly on manufacturing lines. Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis including Fishbone Diagrams for incident investigations. Experience with maintaining OSHA Form 300. Experience with Ergonomic analysis in manufacturing environments. Experience with implementing Behavior-Based Safety Programs. General knowledge of EPA Regulations and accounting for hazardous waste. Working knowledge of Arkansas Workers' Compensation Regulations. Some experience working with Quality programs in a manufacturing environment.
