Role Description & Responsibilities:

The PR & Communications Specialist - North America will support the development as well as execution of media relations and external communications activities across North America. Working closely across the PR & Communications team in North America, this role is focused on driving media visibility strengthening the company's reputation and positioning Dassault Systemes as a thought leader within the North American market aligned with business priorities.

This role reports into Director of PR & Communications - North America.

  • Content Support & Drafting: Assist in drafting, editing and localizing external communications or press content (including but not limited to news releases, invitations, pitches blogs, social posts) to ensure messaging is relevant for various media or external audiences and channels.
  • Media Outreach & Monitoring: Support daily media relations by logging pitches, as well as assisting with media queries and outreach to secure coverage.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics for media relations activities including press events, media interviews and on-site event support. This includes tasks such as preparing media kits or briefings, scheduling across internal and external calendars as well as managing RSVPs or logistical challenges for press engagements.
  • Research Insights & Media Metrics: Tracking media metrics and industry media landscapes for use by PR & Communications team to optimize impact in market.
  • Media Relationship Cultivation: Support the North America team in building and maintaining media relationships across trade, industry verticals and top tier.
  • Agency & Vendor Support: Assist the North America team in managing the external PR agency as well as other external vendors by tracking deliverables, coordinating content approvals and ensuring adherence to objectives.
  • Administrative support: Provide coordination and support for the PR function operations as needed.
  • Story Building: Assist the team in efforts to build stories or customer opportunities, collaborating with inputs from brands, industries or other business units.
  • Spokespeople program coordination: Assist in preparing background materials, summaries and coordinating internal platform engagements in support of our spokesperson program.
  • Demonstrating Value: Assist the team in tracking PR progress and demonstrating the value of activities in reports, business overviews, thematic campaign summaries and other outputs accessible to the wider business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Public Relations or corporate communications, with preference for agency experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Proactive ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
