Job Description:

As a Product Development Engineer Intern, you will contribute to key engineering objectives by working collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team environment. This role offers hands-on experience across the full product development lifecycle, including design, testing, analysis, and documentation. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge RF/microwave technologies and develop practical engineering skills by supporting real-world projects.
  • Design & Simulation: Potentially assist engineers in design of RF/microwave circuits and components using CAD software such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or CST or Microsoft tools
  • Lab Testing & Measurement: Perform hands-on testing of components using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • System Integration: Support Troubleshooting, data taken and debugging
  • Data Analysis: Use tools to analyze test data and aid engineering with correlation of results with both practical and simulation models
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation
  • Flexibility: Cross-train in other job functions to meet requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program
  • Completed or actively enrolled in coursework related to engineering fundamentals
  • Basic familiarity with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analyzers)
  • Hands-on experience with electronics, such as soldering and PCB assembly
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Coursework in RF/microwave engineering, electromagnetics, materials science, or analog circuit design
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, AWR)
  • Hands-on experience soldering or troubleshooting PCBs
  • Knowledge of transmission line theory
  • Knowledge of Microwave amplifiers and measurements

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $19/hr - $21/hr.*
