Genesis10 is currently seeking a Portfolio Execution Lead for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 24+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will lead day-to-day operating routines, mature execution playbooks, and drive portfolio outcomes spanning intake, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and stabilization. You will support annual planning and in-year replanning cycles, manage cross-functional dependencies, and ensure executive-ready decisioning. This position requires independent judgment, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong relationship management skills in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities:
- Own the operating rhythm and portfolio execution across multiple groups
- Translate strategy into repeatable delivery from intake and prioritization through adoption and stabilization
- Own support functions and day-to-day operating routines across multiple portfolios, and lead execution of large-scale strategic initiatives
- Drive operating excellence at scale; design and enforce playbooks and standards that increase efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Research and assess moderately complex business, operational, and strategic topics; synthesize findings and develop clear, actionable recommendations
- Plan and land programs end-to-end with benefits realization plans and adoption/stabilization criteria
- Collaborate with Product, Technology groups, Operations, and Finance to co-author project plans, policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Design and deliver compelling executive materials that enable stakeholder decisions
- Maintain a single source of truth for portfolio health (schedule, scope, cost, risk)
- Serve as the primary liaison for risk and control integration and ensure timely evidence and reporting of compliance
- Maintain an integrated, cross-portfolio view of milestones and dependencies; proactively surface conflicts and orchestrate resolution paths
- Coach and upskill a matrixed set of program managers; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in program/portfolio execution in complex, matrixed environments with a track record of leading multi-workstream delivery
- Demonstrated ability to align operating models and playbooks across multiple business groups and technology teams
- Proven impact improving efficiency, quality, and cost with capacity management, throughput improvement, and pipeline hygiene at a portfolio scale
- Success translating strategy into executable plans with clear outcomes, guardrails, and change adoption plans
- Mastery across the execution lifecycle including intake, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and stabilization
- Advanced KPI/OKR and decision analytics skills; ability to build dashboards that inform tradeoffs (Excel/Power BI/Tableau or equivalent)
- Executive communication and decision facilitation excellence
- Experience embedding risk and control milestones into delivery plans and evidencing compliance
- Proficiency with ServiceNow (work/problem/change), Jira/Confluence, Power BI, and M365
Desired skills:
- Advanced degree and/or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma)
- Familiarity with banking/financial services, customer segments, and digital platforms/products
- Workday familiarity is a plus
