    30 hours per week, 12 months per year position with variable schedule including evenings and weekends.
    Office located at Minnetonka High School - Arts Center.
    Minimum hourly rate is $26.00.
    Benefit-eligible position.
    The terms and conditions for this position will be covered by an individual letter of assignment, so will not be in a bargaining group.

    Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
    Provide technical support for the Minnetonka School District performance spaces at Excelsior Elementary, Minnetonka Middle School West, and Minnetonka Middle School East, and provide MHS scene shop support.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Set up, supervise when needed, and provide technical support for scheduled events at Excelsior Elementary, Middle School West, and Middle School East in their respective theatrical spaces. Includes daytime and evening hours.
    2. Work with Arts Center productions by assisting the MHS scene shop Technical Director in supervision of high school student tech crews during after school hours. Help oversee proper student training and safety procedures.
    3. Support Facilities Scheduler as contact for all district and rental users by gathering information and confirming audio, lighting, and tech needs for the three major spaces.
    4. Train school staff and students - and work with MHS Technical Specialist and Arts Center Interns to schedule needed assistance with audio and visual needs for events at the three performance spaces.
    5. Establish a personal work schedule that requires flexibility and meets the needs of the scheduled events.
    6. Keep a running inventory of audio, lighting, and visual equipment in three major spaces and maintain, organize, and update as needed.
    7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Job Qualifications:

    1. Evidence of a degree in technical theatre arts or related field OR significant technical experience in theatre arts.
    2. Evidence of successful experience in theatre arts commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
    3. Evidence of a working knowledge of computer operated lighting, sound, and drafting programs.
    4. Evidence of knowledge of video production preferred.
    5. Experience in theatre arts, AV or related field.
    6. Evidence of the ability to work cooperatively with District staff and users.
    7. Evidence of the ability to supervise and motivate students, volunteers and other contracted staff.
    8. Evidence of the ability to attend performances as directed.
    9. Evidence of knowledge of rules and laws regarding public performances.
    10. Evidence of an understanding of the workings and sensitivities of a multiple use facility and the criteria for success in balancing the use of facility.
    11. Evidence of excellent customer service skills.
    12. Ability to travel between buildings during the workday.
    13. Physically able to move speakers and lighting gears.
