Position Summary
UNM Health Sciences is seeking
an Education and Development Manager to implement, grow, and evaluate Pre-Health Institute programs at the UNM Health Sciences Rio Rancho Campus
(HSRR)
.

This role combines program operations
and development, community engagement, data analysis, and data-informed
decision-making to support and contribute to the UNM Health Science Center's
major strategic goal of doubling the healthcare workforce. This role will be integral
to the development and success of the Pre-Health Institute initiative at the
HSC Rio Rancho Campus. As the Education and Development manager, this role will
work directly with high school, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate students,
as well as, senior leadership and community leaders. This role will also
support campus leadership with rural and tribal outreach.

The Education and Development
Manager will collaborate closely with HSRR leadership to oversee the
implementation and daily operations of existing programs while also
contributing to the design and launch of new initiatives. The PreHealth
Institute and its leadership team operate in a dynamic, fastmoving
environment, requiring adaptability, strategic thinking, and a proactive
approach to program development. Data analysis
and reporting is an important part of this position. The designing, collecting,
analyzing, and writing reports on program effectiveness will be utilized in the
Director's reporting to the HSC Executive VP office and other senior leaders.
This position will involve collaborating and building relationships with UNM
HSC programs and community members.

The Rio Rancho campus consists
of over 200 acres in the City Center of Rio Rancho. The campus currently hosts
SRMC, The Center of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, and the
original "building one." The HSRR Campus is a unique, comfortable, and
welcoming space and culture. Current programs in Building One include UNM
College of Nursing, an outpatient behavioral health clinic, the Pre-Health
Scholars Certificate, Pre-Health Institute, and a unique collaboration with CNM
for a Medical Assistant certification program. The new and innovative UNM
Pre-Health Institute consists of programming focused on strengthening the
preparation and success of students pursing health careers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
