As a Security Officer Access Control in Amenia, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will help manage access points, monitor credential checks, and support security-related procedures for employees, visitors, and contractors. In this access control role, you will remain visible, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter incidents. Pay Rate: $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity to help support authorized access throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited access attempts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with screening processes, maintain accurate access logs and incident reports, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding daily security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
