General Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate - Plumbing to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping plumbing materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and knowledgeable in plumbing supplies and warehouse procedures. Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming plumbing materials and verify accuracy of shipments Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment Load and unload trucks using proper equipment and safety procedures Organize and stock inventory in appropriate warehouse locations Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified) Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 0-2 Specific Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Knowledge of plumbing materials and equipment required Warehouse experience preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent movement and activity Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season and warehouse conditions Regular use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Team-oriented environment focused on efficiency, accuracy, and safety Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs Comfortable working at heights and using ladders Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods License Required Yes Job Locations US-TX-San Antonio Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
