Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Technical Support Engineer intern, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to gain practical technical and troubleshooting experience. You will be responsible for various tasks including data analytics reporting, parts management, and tool troubleshooting.

This internship is payrolled via payroll process provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing data analytics and generating easy to read reports to support engineering and operations teams
  • Applying FTA/troubleshooting methods to identify problem statements and determine next actions
  • Managing parts inventory and coordinating with supply chain on assigned projects
  • Troubleshooting equipment and tools, and supporting corrective action efforts
  • Documenting technical findings and assisting with process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related degree
  • Demonstrated "hands on" mechanical and troubleshooting ability
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including collaboration and presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Physical Requirements:

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
