As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while following post orders, verifying access permissions, and assisting with visitor processing in accordance with location policies.
• Support daily operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, providing directions and information, and maintaining a professional presence during routine and/or elevated activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
