The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Commercial Strategic Planning and Forecasting will play a critical role in supporting enterprise commercial modeling and forecasting efforts across Myriad's portfolio. This is a hands-on, execution-focused position responsible for building and maintaining detailed volume and revenue models to support commercial and product strategy, growth initiatives, and long-range planning. The role partners cross-functionally with Product, Market Intelligence, Commercial Operations, PMO, and Finance to ensure forecasts are data-driven, structured, and aligned to business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically rigorous, comfortable working in Excel and large datasets, and energized by turning ambiguity into structured financial outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Model Ownership

  • Build and maintain detailed bottom-up commercial models for new product launches, portfolio expansions, and growth initiatives
  • Translate assumptions across epidemiology, eligibility, adoption, pricing, payer mix, and reimbursement into revenue projections
  • Update models based on new data inputs and evolving business assumptions
  • Ensure consistency and traceability of model logic across initiatives

Forecast Execution & Iteration

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and long-range planning cycles with updated volume and revenue projections
  • Incorporate real-world performance data to refine assumptions and improve forecast accuracy
  • Maintain scenario models (base / upside / downside) and sensitivity analyses
  • Identify drivers of variance versus plan and provide structured explanations

Data & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Market Intelligence to integrate primary research and market sizing inputs into models
  • Work with Commercial Operations to align field capacity assumptions and territory coverage impacts
  • Collaborate with Finance to align modeled outputs with P&L expectations
  • Support Product and PMO teams with financial modeling inputs for initiative tracking

Business Case & ROI Support

  • Develop financial impact models for new initiatives, including headcount investment, operating costs, and revenue projections
  • Support ROI and breakeven analyses for growth programs
  • Quantify financial risk associated with reimbursement shifts, competitive dynamics, and timing changes

Tools & Process Improvement

  • Improve forecasting tools and templates to enhance scalability and usability
  • Support development of dashboards and reporting tools to monitor forecast assumptions versus actuals
  • Drive consistency in modeling methodology across initiatives

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial operations, commercial forecasting, FP&A, or financial modeling
  • Experience in healthcare, biotech, diagnostics, or life sciences preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, scenario modeling, structured financial frameworks) required
    • Experience Onestream, Anaplan, Tableau, Looker or similar financial planning, data analytics, business intelligence, and dashboard tools required
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage large datasets and synthesize outputs clearly
  • Experience building bottom-up revenue models preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting product launches
  • Familiarity with reimbursement and payer dynamics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial and product teams
