The Wealth Planning Strategist partners with advisors and business lines to deliver goal-based financial planning solutions for high-net-worth clients. This role focuses on increasing new business close rates while deepening existing relationships through sophisticated planning strategies. You'll serve as a trusted expert, influencing complex client outcomes and driving growth across the bank.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive new business growth by increasing close rates on complex wealth planning opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Partner with advisors and business lines to identify, structure, and deliver tailored goal-based financial planning solutions.
  • Advise high-net-worth clients on advanced strategies including wealth transfer, succession planning, executive compensation, and insurance solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong referral network to generate new client opportunities and support enterprise-wide growth.
  • Develop client-ready presentations, financial plans, and product illustrations to support sales and client engagement.
  • Collaborate across Private Wealth, Commercial, and Consumer Banking to uncover cross-sell opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, staying current on regulations, tax implications, and industry trends to guide clients and colleagues.
  • Track pipeline activity and client engagement using CRM tools to ensure timely follow-up and consistent business development.

What You'll Bring: Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of wealth or financial planning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced planning concepts, including tax, insurance, and investment strategies.
  • CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CWS (Certified Wealth Strategist) certification by start date.

Preferred

  • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License.
  • Series 7 license.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and complex planning scenarios.
