| Essential Job Duties |
This position will assist faculty with proposal development and submission for sponsored agency funding. This includes review of funding opportunity announcements, creating budgets, compiling all documentation requirements, uploading into agency portals as required, and completion of
NCSU forms/protocols.
Job duties: Proposal development and adherence to development timelines, preparation of budgets, budget justifications, subcontracts and cost-sharing, consolidating documents, review of all formatting and other key elements, review for adherence to the solicitation guidelines, answering questions and providing coaching throughout the process, and ensuring all pre-award requirements have been met while adhering to all Federal, State, University and Sponsored Agency guidelines.
This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of on-site and remote work. The selected candidate will be expected to work in the office three days per week and remotely for two days, subject to business needs. |

Budget preparation - including multi-year budgets and justifications, subawards, multidisciplinary/multi-institutional. Mathematically analyze, select, and apply the proper rules to accommodate the correct fringe rates, F&A (facilitates and administrative costs), tuition rates, and other direct costs for a proposal, including subawards. Prepare applications in federal sponsor systems (
NIH-
ASSIST; NSFresearch.gov,
DOJ-Just Grants, Workspace).
Other duties as needed.

| Minimum Experience/Education |
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience supporting proposal development, research administration, or grant submissions
- Experience supporting proposal development, preferably within a university or research administration environment
