This is a traveling position. Working 75% Nationwide Travel and 25% home market work Top Skills - Must Haves * data center * Cable * Troubleshooting Top Skills' Details Data Center Technician Experience Pulling and terminating cable Coax and Fiber Cable experience Description TEKsystems is putting together a Tiger team of L2 datacenter technicians to support the "Hi-Fiber" project for their customer. The Hi-Fiber project is the initiative to replace older Coax cable with fiber. Putting together a team of experienced technicians to be the first at a new datacenter location to set up the processes and procedures for the first 6-8 weeks of these projects. This team will travel in to get these projects going the right direction and then move on to another datacenter location and to the same thing. When there are down times between projects they will be working at the Datacenter in their home markets. They want to bring in experienced datacenter technicians who can step in and handle this work from day one. Eventually they will hire level 1 cable pullers to step in and complete the projects for the long haul. Probably on the road for 2 weeks at most before being brought home. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
