State Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician


McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled State Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician


McMillen, Inc. is looking for a State Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in the field. This applicant should be extremely detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and must be able to think out-of-the-box to find solutions to both routine and complex construction problems while continuing to push the project forward.


Prefer that this applicant has experience on heavy civil projects including work around bridges, structural concrete, mechanical equipment installation, heavy steel structure installation, and marine work


This position is scheduled to run from March through July, with an expected workload of 50-60 hours per week. Additional projects across the country may also be available.

Responsibilities:



  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Install, maintain, and work with cable tray systems and cabling.
  • Perform control wiring and terminations with accuracy and quality.
  • Complete required project documentation and field reports.
  • Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Assist with planning and layout of daily electrical tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


Qualifications:



  • Current State License as an Industrial Journeyman Control Electrician (required).
  • Strong technical experience with industrial electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with cable tray systems, cabling, and control terminations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong experience with industrial control wiring and functional checkout required.
  • Travel is required 100% (company pays per diem for travel 50+ miles away from home)
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $28 - $46 (DOE) This position follows Washington Davis-Bacon rules, with additional fringe benefits included in your paycheck.
  • Benefits:Subsistence/Per Diem (If temporarily assigned 70+ miles from residence)
