Lead Structured Cabling Technician Location: Myrtle Beach, SC Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technician to oversee and perform structured cabling installations for commercial projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, responsible for leading technicians on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to industry standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead and supervise structured cabling crews on job sites * Install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic) * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications * Plan daily tasks, assign work, and monitor job progress * Perform troubleshooting, testing, labeling, and documentation of cabling systems * Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI, and local building codes * Maintain quality control and enforce safety procedures * Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades * Train and mentor junior technicians * Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles as required Required Qualifications * 2+ years of structured cabling installation experience * Prior experience leading or supervising cabling crews * Strong knowledge of copper and fiber infrastructure systems * Ability to terminate, test, and certify cabling to industry standards * Ability to read blueprints and low-voltage drawings * Valid driver's license and clean driving record * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in ceiling spaces * Reliable, organized, and professional with strong communication skills Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Myrtle Beach, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
