About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Field Support Technician to support a large-scale PC refresh project across the state of Florida. This is a hands-on, road-based role - you will be traveling to multiple client sites throughout Florida for weeks at a time, deploying and configuring new hardware, and ensuring a smooth transition for end users. If you thrive in a fast-paced field environment, work well independently, and take pride in getting equipment up and running efficiently, this role is for you. What You'll Be Doing * Deploy, configure, and install PCs, laptops, and peripherals across multiple client sites statewide * Perform data migration, imaging, and OS installation as part of the refresh process * Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site and escalate when necessary * Maintain accurate asset documentation and hardware inventory throughout the project * Provide basic end-user support and guidance during device transitions * Coordinate with project leads and internal teams to ensure deployments stay on schedule * Travel to multiple sites per week throughout Florida, with extended travel periods of several weeks at a time What We're Looking For * 1-3 years of hands-on IT field support or deployment experience * Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and standard imaging and deployment processes * Experience with hardware installation including desktops, laptops, docking stations, and peripherals * Familiarity with Active Directory and basic network troubleshooting * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - accurate documentation is a must * Excellent communication and customer service skills for end-user interactions * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving project environment * Must be comfortable with extended statewide travel and flexible scheduling * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Nice to Haves * CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification * Experience with SCCM, Intune, or similar deployment tools * Prior experience supporting large-scale hardware refresh or deployment projects What's in It for You * Long-term contract with consistent work throughout the project lifecycle * Mileage reimbursement for all work-related travel * Lodging covered during extended travel periods * Opportunity to build experience on a high-visibility, large-scale IT project Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
