Job Description

The Accommodation Advisor works directly with students to determine eligibility for disability-related accommodations and provides support in implementing approved accommodations. This role also participates in department programs and services that support the development of skills related to college success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with students requesting accommodations and through the interactive process determine reasonable accommodation eligibility
  • Coordinate student accommodation-related services and auxiliary aids with the student, course instructors, and staff
  • Maintain records and document communications according to department procedures
  • Communicate with current and prospective students to answer questions and provide procedural information, resources, and support
  • Lead small group sessions on college success topics including executive function skills and strategies
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.87 to $21.00 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
