The Department of Medicine - Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Hospitalist Medicine Inpatient service by providing initial and ongoing assessment and management of urgent care issues related to internal medicine or critical care needs located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Froedtert Hospital. This role will be responsible for the admission of patients to the medical teams and to provide on call coverage for patients admitted to the hospitalist service (cross coverage). The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. Preferred Schedule: Full Time 1.0 FTE; Rotating monthly schedule of 8-10.5 hours shifts with average 36 hour work week. Shifts vary from 4pm-12am, 3pm-1am OR 5pm-1am, 4pm-2am, weekends 12pm-10:30 pm, and 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year. On average, work every 3rd weekend. Position Highlights:
