Summary

Provide administrative support for workforce management functions within the Department of Anesthesiology, including recruitment coordination, employee retention programming, onboarding operations, event planning, and general departmental administrative support.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduling, documentation, and administrative support for hiring and staffing processes.

  • Maintain accuracy of internal postings and track relevant industry trends.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and expense tracking for departmental materials and supplies.

  • Assist in planning and execution of internal programs and initiatives; collaborate across teams to maintain shared resources.

  • Coordinate employee-related activities including recognition programs and internal communications.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including system updates and distribution list management.

  • Assist with staff setup, profiles, and internal system access.

  • Plan and coordinate departmental events, including logistics, materials, and communication.

  • Compile and track data, preparing reports and summaries for leadership review.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
  • Knowledge of workforce management practices, event coordination, employee engagement strategies, and administrative operations in a healthcare or academic setting.

  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, written communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday), and social media management tools.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Associate's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
