Job Summary: |
The Care Collaborative within the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a Development & Implementation Coordinator to support the design, coordination, and delivery of innovative access-to-care programs. This role leads both the implementation of the Colorado Peer Education Program (CoPEP) in correctional settings and the coordination of statewide virtual ECHO series to expand provider knowledge and capacity. This position requires skills in on-the-ground program implementation, public health education, partner engagement, and coordination of both in-person and virtual programs. The role requires strong project management skills, comfort working across diverse environments, including correctional facilities, and the ability to support learning models that connect expertise to communities. The Colorado Peer Education Program (CoPEP) is an evidence-based, train-the-trainer model implemented in correctional settings to equip incarcerated individuals with the knowledge and skills to serve as peer health educators. The program focuses on reducing transmission of infectious diseases such as Hepatitis C and HIV, increasing access to testing and treatment, and supporting reentry readiness. ECHO Colorado (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is a statewide tele-mentoring model that uses videoconferencing technology to connect specialists with community-based providers and partners. Through case-based learning and peer mentorship, ECHO programs build local capacity to manage complex health conditions and improve access to care across communities. Key Responsibilities: Program Implementation & Facilitation (CoPEP Focus) - 50%
Plan, prepare, and facilitate in-person train-the-trainer workshops for incarcerated individuals to become peer health educators. Coordinate with Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) staff to schedule trainings, secure clearances, and support on-site implementation. Travel to correctional facilities to support program delivery, provide coaching, and gather feedback from participants. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update curriculum and training materials. Support the professional development of peer educators, including incorporating new health education content and best practices. Coordinate logistics for trainings, including materials, supplies, travel, lodging, and facilitator scheduling. Collect, organize, and maintain program data to support reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts. Develop and contribute to reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones across multiple concurrent programs. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of new workflows and tools.
ECHO Program Coordination & Delivery - 50%
Manage full lifecycle coordination of ECHO series, including planning timelines, scheduling sessions, and supporting faculty and participants. Coordinate and host virtual sessions using videoconferencing platforms, providing real-time technical and operational support. Prepare and distribute session materials, including agendas, case presentations, and educational resources. Provide pre- and post-session support, including participant communication, follow-up, and resource sharing. Maintain accurate records of participation, session data, and program documentation in internal systems. Build and maintain relationships with interdisciplinary participants, faculty, and partners. Proactively participates in process improvement. Provides assistance with the scope of work.
