Payroll Administrator III

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY




The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing and administering accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains employee payroll records, and ensures compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.




MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES




  • Process payroll on a Weekly and Bi-weekly basis through Vantage for US hourly and salaried employees.
  • Calculates and processes timecards and corrections.
  • Cross-training and back-up responsibilities of other payroll resources as assigned.
  • Resolves any issues/questions by site locations or other parties in a timely and professional manner via email and/or phone.
  • Responsible for all tasks associated with the preparation, processing, and completion of payroll.
  • Processes ADP Reporting and other report-related requests.
  • Acts as a liaison between Payroll and HRIS, assisting departments and employees with payroll-related questions and problems.
  • Experience with California labor law and payroll laws.
  • Reviews of employees' accruals.
  • Process daily CA Final paychecks for terminations.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added to the manager's
  • Manage Garnishments -- mail/scanning/uploading to ADP.




OTHER DUTIES




  • Performs other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES




  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. With professional telephone etiquette
  • Demonstrated competence in performing assigned payroll duties.




ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS




  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Less than 10% of travel is involved.
  • Hybrid Position, two days at the office -Charlotte, NC (Ballantyne area).




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




  • Experience with ADP Payroll System (ADP Vantage a plus)
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing
  • Associate's degree in accounting or 3 years' experience or a combination of each preferred




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS




  • Strong analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
