What We Need: We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team. Support production with day-to-day technical responsibilities providing quick resolution to issues and long-term sustainment of technical processes and systems. What You Will Do: Define major performance objectives/goals and supporting actions/tasks for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Admin logging of Mi ideas, Problem Solving/Escalation tracking, Discovery of future projects. Process and product quality adherence to standards. - line calls, incoming inspection, and SCAR's. Change management - Document maintenance (Safety and Quality) FMEA, JSA, LOTO, Critical to Quality, factory standards, PM procedures. Tier escalation support - Daily escalations, CAR resource for problem solving activities. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, programming, and information flow failures and partner with Skilled Trades, Tooling, and Engineering for repairs What You Have: A minimum of five years of manufacturing experience preferred Programming experience may be preferred What You're Good At: Team player & organization/planning: able to prioritize work while serving multiple stakeholders Relationship building members in this role will excel at building relationships across multiple factories and groups Learning agility & problem solving must show a desire to learn continuously, an ability to become the expert using multiple resources, and be a skilled problem solver Analytics & technical skills: strong attention to detail, able to analyze data and trends and summarize, seamlessly work with technology HNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI) is a manufacturer of workplace furnishings and building products, operating under two segments.
