Position Overview
| Primary Purpose of Position |
- Serve as a central point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, providing guidance on study abroad programs, international student and scholar matters, and institutional policies. Communicate regularly through in-person meetings, email, and phone to clarify expectations, respond to inquiries, and ensure stakeholders receive accurate and timely information.
- Manage and process all administrative forms, documentation, and records related to students, faculty, staff, and international programs. Track deadlines, monitor compliance with institutional and federal regulations (including SEVIS and visa requirements), and generate reports to support program operations and institutional reporting.
- Oversee office operations, including coordination of international travel approvals, insurance, financial documentation, budgets, invoices, and reconciliations, ensuring adherence to university policies and efficient workflow.
- Exercise sound judgment in addressing inquiries and resolving issues, coordinating with internal offices when appropriate, while maintaining confidentiality, adhering to FERPA and other privacy standards, and providing a professional, stakeholder-centered approach.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of office processes, ensuring efficient communication, accurate record-keeping, and high-quality support for all aspects of international affairs administration.

The Office of International Affairs (
OIA) at North Carolina A&T State University provides support and guidance for international students and faculty, facilitates study abroad and exchange programs, and promotes cross-cultural engagement to advance the university's international mission and strategic goals. |
