Location:NC-Charlotte Job Title: Broadcast Director - WSOC TV Position Overview WSOC TV Charlotte is looking for a Broadcast Director who can direct newscasts in a fast-paced, live television environment and be able to oversee all technical aspects of a live broadcast. The applicant must be able to adapt quickly to changes and communicate clearly with staff and news management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct live broadcasts using Grass Valley Ignite Automation System Be responsible for all production aspects of broadcasts Effectively direct taped segments in a timely manner PA duties such as Vinten Robotic cameras and teleprompter Studio mics and lighting Non-linear editing on Avid platform Troubleshoot problems with technical knowledge of systems Attention to detail Be cooperative, communicative and lead by example Minimum Qualifications Previous broadcast news experience with knowledge of audio mixing, camera operation, video editing and studio lighting Ability to sit and operate equipment, staying mentally focused, for hours at a time A desire to work in broadcast news production Preferred Qualifications Previous broadcast news experience with knowledge of audio mixing, camera operation, video editing and studio lighting Ability to sit and operate equipment, staying mentally focused, for hours at a time A desire to work in broadcast news production About Cox Media Group CMG Media Corporation (d/b/a Cox Media Group) is an industry-leading media company with unparalleled brands, award-winning content, and exceptional team members.
