Position Highlights The University of Arizona's Steward Observatory invites you to apply to the role of Transportation Driver II. This position serves as a temporary driver for the Mt. Graham International Observatory annual summer youth program, offering you the opportunity to support a meaningful, student-focused initiative. In this role, you will provide transportation for youth employees, including pick-up and drop-off at two locations: Bylas and San Carlos. Shift transportation to various locations include, but are not limited to, Base Camp, Summit Bonita, and the Tucson campus.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive state vehicle to transport youth employees and summer program leader. Maintain logs/records of activities, fuel usage, and mileage.
  • Drive state vehicle safely and according to schedules and road regulations.Communicate with Base Camp staff to transport summer youth to daily assigned locations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to complete HOV driver training, which consists of online training and a road test.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
