Job Title: Revenue Cycle Trainer II


Position Overview

The Revenue Cycle Trainer II serves as the primary educational and support resource for Revenue Cycle operations across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive training to various roles, ensuring staff are proficient in optimal workflows by applying adult learning methodologies.

The Trainer develops expert-level knowledge of system functionality and departmental workflows, collaborating closely with Operational Leaders, Program Managers, and Informatics teams to incorporate system enhancements and maintain high training standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery: Conduct standard Revenue Cycle Operations training and provide ongoing support for new hires.
  • Workflow Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of departmental functionality and associated workflows across multiple Revenue Cycle areas.
  • Adult Learning Application: Implement industry-standard adult learning theories and coaching methods to improve training efficacy.
  • Optimization & Support: Provide workflow optimization and efficiency support; contribute to the development and maintenance of the organizational knowledge base.
  • Collaboration: Participate in meetings with operational leaders to ensure training materials remain current with system enhancements.
  • System Management: Register, track, and grade users within the Learning Management System (LMS).


Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in a work-related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant Revenue Cycle experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Domain Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of front-end, middle, and back-end revenue cycle processes, including medical terminology and billing/reimbursement regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Epic and standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for inter-departmental collaboration, ability to maintain composure during challenging interactions, and the ability to persuade or influence resistant learners.
  • Project Management: Understanding of basic project management concepts and the ability to execute tasks within expected timelines and constraints.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to identify problems, propose innovative training solutions, and apply sound judgment in decision-making.
