Buyer
The Intercompany Material Planner / Buyer is accountable for ensuring critical components and subassemblies are available to execute the finished-goods production schedule by converting the master production schedule and demand changes into an executable, time-phased material requirements plan. Working across the Atlas Copco internal supply network, the role prevents and recovers shortages and executes purchasing activities in support of the material plan-balancing production continuity, inventory, lead time, quality, and cost. Main Responsiblities: * Develop, maintain, and communicate the time-phased material requirements plan for assigned components and subassemblies using the master production schedule, bills of material, inventory, lead times, and demand changes. * Analyze material coverage, projected inventory, open supply, capacity constraints, and MRP exception messages; identify build-at-risk requirements early and recommend actions to protect the production schedule. * Own the accuracy of material-planning master data and parameters, including lead times, order quantities, safety stock, replenishment policies, planning calendars, and required dates. * Manage inventory to agreed service and working-capital targets, balancing continuity of supply with excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory risk. * Lead shortage prevention and recovery, coordinating allocation, rescheduling, alternate supply plans, logistics, and required Engineering, Quality, or Regulatory decisions through closure. * Partner with Atlas Copco supplying entities to validate capacity and supply plans, secure reliable commit dates, track delivery performance, and drive corrective action for recurring misses. * Convert approved material requirements into purchase requisitions, purchase orders, or intercompany transfer orders; manage acknowledgements, reschedule messages, shipment status, receipts, and discrepancies through delivery to point of use. * Lead routine material reviews and performance reporting; communicate risks, decisions, owners, and recovery dates while improving MRP discipline, supplier service, data quality, and planning processes.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience: * Three or more years of hands-on material requirements planning, production planning, supply planning, or buyer/planner experience in manufacturing; bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience. APICS/ASCM certification preferred. * Demonstrated ability to translate a master production schedule, bills of material, inventory positions, lead times, and demand changes into an executable material plan. * Strong knowledge of MRP logic, exception management, planning parameters, material master data, inventory projections, safety stock, and replenishment methods. * Proven experience identifying material constraints, performing root-cause and scenario analysis, leading shortage recovery, and managing excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory risk. * Experience coordinating supply across internal or external suppliers and multiple sites, including capacity, commit-date, delivery-performance, and escalation reviews. * Working knowledge of purchasing execution, including requisitions, purchase or transfer orders, acknowledgements, rescheduling, expediting, and basic commercial considerations. * Strong ERP/MRP capability (Encompix and/or SAP preferred), advanced Excel/reporting skills, and disciplined transactional and master-data accuracy. * Clear written and verbal communication, analytical judgment, urgency, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. * Physical requirements: ability to move within an office and manufacturing environment and perform the essential duties of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary: $33.00-$38.00/ per hour
