Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $154,968 - $205,332.60. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a focused team of engineers, supplier quality engineers and sourcing manager to execute dual sourcing programs

  • Supply Continuity & Risk Mitigation: Reduce revenue at risk for single sourced components and parts. Instituionalize dual sourcing as a risk mitigation lever (not a tactical reaction). Identify single source exposure across value streams and coordinate with VS, Mfg eng and Quality to manage a hopper of candidates for execution with cross functional team

  • Cross Functional Leadership & Execution: Lead a cross functional team to deliver strategy into operational execution

  • Commercial & Supplier Alignment: Collaborate with applicable team members/leadership to ensure master service agreements, commercial terms and conditions, and supplier performance alignswithin supplier network

  • Outsourcing Management: Execute and lead continuous improvement of dual sourcing playbook, business processes and execution management systems to improve scalability and risk profiles

  • Supplier Evaluation Process Management: Use sourcing tools to handle appropriate RFI, RFP, RFQ to participate in the formal evaluation process to support supplier selection decisions jointly made with the Sourcing Leadership

  • Supplier Quality & Auditing: Participate in audits with the Supplier Quality Engineering team and external auditors, ultimately ensuring consistent quality in the supplier base.

  • Supplier Capability & Market Insights: Collaborate with Sourcing Leaders to stay up to date with and communicate suppliers' capacity, capabilities, products, and technologies, ensuring that key decision-makers are informed when selecting suppliers.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Value Stream Leadership including value stream scheduling, and product and quality engineering to ensure continuity of supply of parts, reflecting S&C's emphasis on communication across teams

  • Functional Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to direct reports, and contributors, setting clear performance expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Conduct regular performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate career development opportunities to support individual growth and organizational succession planning.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business related field
  • 10+ years of experience sourcing leadership
  • 10+ Years experience transitioning implicit designs to explicit designs
  • Demonstrated experience building and improving make-buy frameworks
  • Structured decision architect with demonstrated change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering alignment to drive complex sourcing strategies
  • Great interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to partner with and communicate with customers, both technical and non-technical.
  • Great organizational, planning and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key account demands.
  • Sound business sense and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed actions, solve complex problems, and drive learning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Demonstrates strong people leadership by cultivating an inclusive, respectful team culture, leading others confidently through change, modeling high emotional intelligence, and empowering team members to excel and take ownership and accountability.
  • Proven experience developing high performing teams, including setting clear expectations, coaching talent, building a strong bench, etc.
  • Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and PowerBI. Including great data analysis skills.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in fabrication, electronics, and hardware commodities
  • ASCM/ APICs
