Transportation Specialist

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Transportation Specialist (Functional - IBS) to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role serves as a functional subject matter expert (SME) with hands-on transportation and IBS experience, ensuring system capabilities align with real-world operational needs.

The Transportation Specialist collaborates with customers, developers, and testers to translate field-based transportation workflows into system requirements, validate functionality, and improve user experience. The ideal candidate brings operational IBS experience and can effectively support system development in an Agile environment.

Serve as a functional SME for IBS transportation processes, including booking, rating, routing, and shipment management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements and workflows
• Translate operational needs into user stories and functional specifications
• Troubleshoot IBS-related functional issues and support Help Desk activities
• Conduct functional and integration testing to validate system updates
• Develop test scenarios and Test Recommendation Documents
• Deliver demonstrations and briefings to stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Identify gaps between system functionality and operational use and recommend improvements
• Support developers and testers during defect resolution

• Active Secret Clearance
• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight operations
• Hands-on experience using IBS or similar systems in an operational environment
• Familiarity with DoD transportation processes
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or IBS in a field role
• Understanding of transportation financial processes (rating, billing, reconciliation)
• Familiarity with EDI/XML transactions
• Experience supporting testing or UAT
• Experience in Agile environments
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
