Title: Field Service Technician II

Location: Brookfield, WI 53005, tech will dispatch from their home address

Duration: 3 months (Temp to Perm)

Shift hours: M-F 9 am - 6 pm with OT/weekends and afterhours required * Will there be OC (on call)? Yes, rotation based *

  • How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? Varies, 50 - 150 depending on case. PLEASE ENSURE CANDIDATES ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS AMOUNT OF DRIVING.

Role Overview

As a Field Technician, you will be the primary onsite point of contact for technical and service-related needs. You will troubleshoot, install, configure, and repair laser printers, wide-format printers, kiosks, POS systems, and related hardware/software. When necessary, you will partner with Level II or Lead Technicians to ensure issues are resolved accurately and within required timelines.

This is a customer-facing, travel-based role supporting multiple clients through hands-on break/fix, IMAC, and project work at various locations. You will manage all administrative requirements tied to assigned cases, including scheduling onsite visits, ordering and tracking equipment, coordinating returns, providing real-time case note updates, and completing required communications.

Daily travel is required, and you will participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for assigned areas. Availability for nights and weekends is required as part of the on-call schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues involving laser printers, wide format / plotters, kiosks, and POS systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and related applications.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide clear, professional technical support to customers both onsite and via phone.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.



Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of printers (laser and wide format / plotters), computer hardware, and software systems.
  • Electro-Mechanical experience a plus
  • Emphasis on experience repairing laser and wide-format printers.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while also functioning effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
