Description

The Float Environmental Services Manager position is responsible for filling vacancies and completing project work as needed for on-site Environmental Services leaders, ensuring all facilities tasks are completed. This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations by leading staff, coordinating assigned work, managing vendors and ensuring safety and compliance.

Schedule:



  • Full-Time - Flexible scheduling
  • Shift: Weekdays M-F 8:00am-4:30pm - some weekends and afterhours work may be necessary
  • Positions works Monday through Friday - 80hrs bi-weekly - may need to be flexible with hours
  • This position requires 100% of the time to support various Ecumen Communities. Travel expenses covered with some mileage reimbursement if personal vehicle used. Rental car program available.


Pay:



  • The targeted salary for this job is between $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
  • Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides consistent coverage for site environmental services operations at various locations, filling staffing gaps created by leaves of absence, vacations, and vacancies during recruitment periods.

2. Leads and supports the department operations by supervising team members, coordinating scheduling of staff and delegates work assignments to ensure the continuity of maintenance, housekeeping, and/or laundry services.

3. Manages repairs and room turnovers, including routine and preventive maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to maintain facilities at optimal operating condition.

4. Coordinates ordering of supplies and manages vendor relationships ensuring all purchases align with approved budgets and organizational guidelines.

5. Participates in facility projects at various locations, which may include renovations, equipment upgrades, compliance initiatives, or capital improvements.

6. Supports onboarding and training of new staff by providing hands-on instruction, reinforcing safety and procedural standards, and assisting with knowledge transfer.

7. Ensures compliance with safety regulations, organizational policies, and applicable local/state/federal requirements while performing all duties.

Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver's License Required, Ability to travel 100% of the time

Float Environnmental Services Manager Minimum Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED

* Minnesota Special Engineers Boiler's License

* Five years of facilities management experience

* Able to work independently, follow established processes

* Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

* Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's degree in related field

* Previous experience in healthcare setting

* Previous supervisory experience

* CHFM Certification or other related certification
