Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Regional Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Manager in achieving sales targets by managing a small team of sales employees and overseeing sales activities within a designated region. Supports the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. Collaborates with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction. Assists in monitoring sales performance, analyzing market trends, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement. Provides administrative support, prepares sales reports, and assists with sales training and development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed all Region revenue, profit and expense objectives by expanding key strategies and maintaining a high level of performance with current customers as well as identifying and developing new opportunities with a focus on the company's go-to-market strategy through the coaching and management of a small team of sales representatives within a sales region.
  • Works under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager to establish goals and objectives for sales team members for achievement of results; including budgeting and sales forecasting.
  • Responsible for the management of a small team of sales employees, including recruitment, performance management, as well as training & development.
  • Provide coaching and lead sales employees to develop an annual business plan; receives guidance from senior manager.
  • Through the guidance of a senior manager, prepare, analyzes and presents sales action plans and delivers analytical reports to help sales leadership understand business dynamics.
  • Monitors and evaluates changes and developments within accounts, the marketplace, the competition and industry.
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.
  • Applies acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without a clear precedent.
  • Develop and maintain multi-level relationships with internal and external clients, inclusive of establishing high-level contacts.

Qualifications

Skills and Certifications

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a Business or related field preferred or a minimum of three years of experience focused on sales and sales management activities
  • Requires very good understanding of sales principles
  • Demonstrated successful selling abilities, including cold calling, as well as strong products and services knowledge as it relates to the printing industry
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to foster teamwork; lead and create an atmosphere where others can perform at an optimal level
  • Ability to identify, gather facts, analyze and deliver a logical solution to a complex issue
  • Strong work / time management skills and experience directing the same in others
  • Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Suites and presentation modalities
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Salesforce
  • 25% travel requirement to clients and RRD locations

Additional Information

This role is salary plus incentive program eligible and the current RRD salary range is $50,000 to $150,000 per year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
