The UC San Diego Department of OB/GYN and Reproductive Sciences is composed of 66 faculty, 15 clinical fellows, 26 residents, and over 200 department staff members. The department has 7 divisions: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Hospitalist, Complex Family Planning, MIGS, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. It has multiple clinical programs including the growing Menopause Program. The department is ranked 3rd nationally in research funding compared to other OB-GYN Programs. This includes funding from the National Institutes of Health, NSF, CIRM, CDPH and other private institutions. In partnership with Department and Division of General OB/GYN leadership, this position will support the UCSD Menopause Health Program. The Menopause Program Coordinator will provide operational, administrative, educational and programmatic coordination for the menopause program. This role serves as the central organizing hub for delivery of multidisciplinary menopause services, supporting clinical operations, patient navigation, quality improvement and program growth. The coordinator will manage referrals (average 100-150/month) and meet with the Program Director weekly to triage and assess acuity of referrals to schedule with appropriate providers, educate referred patients and referring providers about the program and close the loop with referring providers. The coordinator will serve as a liaison with the Call Center and Menopause program providers at clinic sites that support the menopause program (Medical Offices South, Villa La Jolla, Convoy, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Via Tazon, Encinitas, Genesee). The Coordinator will oversee new patient referrals, maintain an active program patient list and manage the waitlist. The coordinator will assist with menopause educational program development including patient education initiatives, community outreach, conferences and journal club. Applies acquired skills and clinical and operational knowledge of ambulatory care clinics to coordinate aspects of clinic operations of intermediate scope and complexity. Monitors daily clerical activities, billing, and other operational services for a clinic in the medical center. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,125 - $94,858 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.19 - $45.43 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
