OVERVIEW:

The Center Director oversees and leads the operations of The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center. The Center Director is responsibility for staff management, training and execution of duties and roles. They will also be responsible for the scope of operations, programming offerings, budget plans, program metrics, staffing and community involvement. This position provides oversight in departmental management and the development of Kroc staff. The Center Director must ensure community impact and missional objectives, as well as contribute to the long-term funding and community support for the center.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree required in Recreation & Leisure Administration, communication, Administration, Education or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum three years of management experience in operations for recreation, athletic, and entertainment facilities of similar size and type to the San Francisco Kroc Center.
  • Minimum of three years prior experience supervising and managing multiple task


professional staff.



  • Possess demonstrated ability to develop and administer large, complex and multi-faceted


facility budgets.



  • Must be self-motivated with the flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment that is customer service driven and outcome oriented.
  • Must be a person of high integrity.
  • Leadership skills, problem solving capabilities, and the ability to always model leadership while interacting with Kroc employees, guests, and the general public.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to carry out multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Committed to comprehensive and in-depth analysis, planning, and implementation of every


work effort.



  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to flex schedule as necessary to appropriately manage all Center activities.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, scheduling software, and/or appropriate desktop applications as required.
  • Valid driver's license and insured transportation.
  • Current First Aid, CPR and AED required.
  • Required to pass a background check.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

BUSINESS/LEADERSHIP:



  • The Center Director is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the center, including but not limited to: Finance, Corporate Compliance, Legal, Contracts, HR, Risk Management, Food Services, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist the Administrators/Corps Officers to ensure compliance with TSA mission, policies and procedures, and the RJKCCC mission to optimize financial, membership, program, ministry and service performance. (This includes maintaining Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Meet regularly with the Department Managers to coordinate business issues with sound fiscal and budgetary requirements. This includes developing and maintaining Overall Center and departmental goals.
  • Assist the Administrators/Corps Officers and Management Staff with the process of accumulating and preparing financial statements, grant proposals and service and activities statistics as required by The Salvation Army reporting procedures.
  • Serve as community liaison between the Kroc Center and community groups and community outreach.
  • Develop and maintain advisory council membership and goals.
  • Research and implement staff opportunities for development and training; And ensure leadership team is supporting one another and the accomplishment of overall Center goals.
  • Railton Place Liaison: under the direction of the Corps Officers/Executive Directors, maintain consistent operational meetings with Railton Place Director and case managers to ensure staff and program cohesion in the facility. This includes trouble shooting welcome desk interactions with residents and coordination of access to Kroc for residents.



OPERATIONAL/PROGRAM:



  • Provide leadership and oversight to the day-to-day operational activities throughout the Kroc Center developing a culture of excellence, exemplary service, and cleanliness.
  • Oversee all Kroc Center metrics and work towards the overall development and execution of programs.
  • Provide supervision assistants to program manager and departmental leads in all areas that include:
  • Hiring, discipline, evaluation motivation, and termination of management staff
  • Implement & enforce risk management, facility safety, Child Safety, and maintenance policies
  • Establish work priorities, timeliness and methods
  • Provide oversight of all marketing and design initiatives. Make sure Kroc and TSA standards are followed.
  • Work closely with the DHQ's Child Safety and Volunteer Services Coordinator to ensure program compliance with child safety policies and procedures.
  • Will contribute to the research, development and implementation of grants and fundraising. This includes communicating and working with DHQ development team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
