SALARY RANGE: $79,500.00 - $109,287.50

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for the identification, creation, and delivery of Professional and Leadership development training programs across the GROWMARK System, including member cooperatives and retail divisions. Primary focus is on executive-level development and succession, leadership development, board of director development, and support of sales training in alignment to organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leads, designs and facilitates ongoing professional and leadership development according to the Service Excellence Standards and GROWMARK leadership competency model, leveraging knowledge of GROWMARK/Customer Operations.

Consults with management teams and the boards of directors to define training requirements and determine timelines for implementation. Conducts needs assessments throughout the year with each member cooperative/retail management team in their designated region(s) to identify training/development needs and plan for short- and long-term program requirements.

Leads strategic planning process and needs analysis with GROWMARK division leaders. Provides leadership support and guidance to the Training & Development team in relation to the design and alignment of professional and leadership development offerings.

Provides one-on-one or group performance coaching to General Managers, Executives, and Senior Leaders to enhance leadership, communication culture, and sales performance. Assists leaders in interpreting data collected from 180 and 360 feedback instruments, creates action plans with supervisors/leaders.

Coordinates follow-up and evaluations with employees to ensure new skills and techniques have been successfully implemented on the job.

Supports the development, implementation, and assessment of learning technology training materials. Uses current technologies in performing job functions, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, Tableau, various reporting and evaluation tools, and a learning management system (LMS).

Fosters a positive and collaborative learning environment. Provides mentorship and coaching to peer trainers and assists in their professional development.

Communicates training objectives, outcomes, and expectations to employees and management.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Provides input for the Training & Development budget and administers programs within budget parameters.

Plays a key role in strategic decision making for the team.

Assists with onboarding and training of new team members through coaching, feedback, facilitation shadowing, and observation.

Supports Manager, Field Training in leadership of team meetings, group development.

Advises, develops and administers programs requested by GROWMARK and member company management that are supported by Training and Development.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's degree and 7+ years of corporate training or related professional learning & development experience. International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Coaching Certification (ACC) strongly preferred. A certificate/certification in appropriate ASTD, SHRM, or other nationally recognized coursework to demonstrate advanced training or human resource knowledge is preferred.

Regularly pursues additional certifications and conferences to enhance performance and effectiveness.

Requires experience facilitating in-person and virtual training & development programs to employees, mid-managers, senior leaders, executives, and directors.

Requires an understanding and proven experience in planning, developing, presenting, assessing training activities and programs, instructional design, needs analysis, content development, technological proficiency, cultural awareness, negotiation, financial statements, innovation, marketing, and consulting.

Proven understanding and experience in adult learning program development along with ability to utilize techniques in assessing adult learning program effectiveness.

Strong leadership and project planning skills as it relates to taking a project/program from start to finish, including development of key initiatives and translating a vision into formal training programs.

Must have a valid driver's license and passport with the ability to work extended hours and travel independently overnight (sometimes frequently).

Frequently required to work extended hours.

Frequently required to lift and move 21-50 lbs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
