    Schedule:
    Practice on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6 - 8 pm from April 8 - May 12 at Scenic Heights Elementary & Minnetonka Middle School East
    Meets on Saturdays & Sundays (3 - 7 pm): Apr. 25, May 2, 10, and 17

    Job Summary: The Tonka Track and Field League is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as League Assistant Coaches. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in sports management, event coordination, and team support. As a League Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our track and field practices and events.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist with the setup and breakdown of track and field equipment, including hurdles, starting blocks, and timing systems.
    • Athlete Support: Provide support to athletes during practices and meets, including distributing water, managing equipment, and offering encouragement.
    • Administrative Tasks: Help with registration, record-keeping, and data entry related to athlete performance and event results.
    • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for athletes, coaches, and parents, providing information and assistance as needed.
    • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and assist in maintaining a safe environment for all participants.
    • Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the coaching staff or event coordinators.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong interest in track and field or sports in general.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full season.
    • Basic knowledge of track and field events is a plus, but not required.
