The estimated base salary range for this role is "$50,000 to $56,000" per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

Product Design and New Product Development Intern Program Offering

New Product Development and Product Design Intern:

  • Complete an assigned project that supports New Product Development and/or Product Design initiatives during the internship
  • Observe multiple active NPD and design projects, from early concept exploration through development and validation
  • Gain experience supporting the projects, as directed by the project or design leader including:
    • Assist with design work, technical documentation, product testing, project coordination, preparing stakeholder presentations, etc.
    • Participate in design exploration stakeholder reviews, stage gates, team meetings, etc.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (product management, R&D, marketing)
  • Participate in design trend analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial design, or interior design.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative, and within major)

  • Previous internship in a manufacturing, new product development or R&D environment
  • Experience with software that aides in product design and/or project management
