This role plays a critical part in ensuring new hires are prepared to work safely, efficiently, and independently in Assembly, Leak Testing, and Stacking operations. The Production Trainer partners closely with Production Supervisors, Leads, Quality, EH&S, and HR to deliver consistent, handson training aligned with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This is a highly visible, shopfloor role focused on developing skills, reinforcing expectations, and supporting early employee success in a nonunion manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities New Hire Training & Onboarding (Primary Focus) Deliver handson, jobspecific training for new hires in Assembly, Leak Testing, and Stacking operations Train employees using standard work instructions, SOPs, work orders, and production documentation Demonstrate proper use of tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment Reinforce plant rules, safety expectations, quality standards, and productivity requirements Verify training completion and employee readiness prior to release to independent work Safety & Quality Training Ensure all training aligns with EH&S policies, OSHA requirements, and facility safety standards Reinforce safe work practices, ergonomics, and proper material handling techniques Train employees on quality checkpoints, inspection requirements, and defect identification Model and promote a strong safetyfirst mindset at all times Coaching, Assessment & Performance Support Observe trainee performance and provide realtime coaching and constructive feedback Identify skill gaps and escalate training or performance concerns to Production Leadership Support retraining, refresher training, and crosstraining as needed due to process or quality changes Documentation & Training Records Maintain accurate training documentation, skill checklists, and signoff records Confirm training records are completed and auditready Support compliance and quality audits by providing training documentation as requested Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with Supervisors, Leads, Quality, and HR to continuously improve onboarding and training effectiveness Provide feedback on work instructions, SOPs, and training materials Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training consistency and workforce readiness What You Bring High school diploma or GED Minimum of three years of handson manufacturing experience, preferably in assembly, leak testing, or stacking operations Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading production employees (formal or informal) Strong understanding of shopfloor safety, quality, and standard work practices Ability to clearly demonstrate processes and explain expectations to new employees Strong communication skills with a patient, supportive coaching style Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, repeatable training Basic computer skills for training documentation and tracking Ability to work effectively in a nonunion environment, supporting company policies and leadership direction Flexibility to support onboarding schedules, production demands, and continuous improvement efforts ECZWI ____________________________ Equal Employment Opportunity: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
