• Strong work ethic
• Experience leading a team of 6+ employees or someone who is leadership-minded
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience in resistance welding and weld manufacturing preferred; certification a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, and production processes.
• Proven leadership skills with experience supervising production teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret technical instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and electrical setup, adjustments, and startup of weld and assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair weld cells, PLC-controlled systems, and production equipment.
• Lead weld cell changeovers, tip changes, and production scheduling activities.
• Train and guide Weld Operators on proper equipment use and production processes.
• Ensure all safety systems, poka-yoke devices, and ergonomic features are functioning properly.
• Maintain accurate records for machine programs, production data, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and enhance safety.
• Support production goals by monitoring weld schedules, input/output, and PLC communication.
• Supervise daily operations including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Participate in PFMEA, layered process audits (LPA), safety audits, and production meetings.
