Description

SRC has an exciting opportunity and immediate need for an Electrical QA Specialist in Newport News, VA! This position will support shipboard C4I integrations onboard CVN73 and CVN74 aircraft carriers. Primary responsibilities include:

    Overseeing government inspections/checkpoints (I, V, IG)
  • Analyzing documents, drawings, and quality procedures
  • Generating, reviewing, and answering CR's/CFR's
  • Maintaining Quality Assurance workbooks in compliance with NSI 009-04 and TS 9090-310G
  • Creating and maintaining Test and Inspection Plans
  • Ensuring that all QA forms, Test and Inspection documents, and any other form of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) requiring signatures are done so in accordance with all applicable requirements
  • Maintaining test equipment calibration and serialization per company policies and procedures
  • Performing audits and surveillances as needed to maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
  • Performing root cause analysis to identify problems and implement effective corrective actions
  • Providing professional feedback of deficiencies to project and support personnel for corrective action and improvement
  • Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control


Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items, MIL-STD's and TS9090-310G
  • Experience supporting a DOD Government contract highly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience with NAVSEA Standard Items, MIL-STD's and ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals
  • Possess working knowledge of shipboard systems pertaining to Hull, Mechanical and Electrical processes
  • Secret clearance is preferred. Must be able to obtain access to Newport News Shipyard
  • Knowledge of Connector, Cableway and Fiber electrical work on Navy vessels
  • NDT Level II VT, MT and UT certification is a plus, but not required

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
