Job Overview
The Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant supports the Finance team with customer billing, purchase order (PO) reconciliation, and payment processing. This role works closely with Sales Representatives and Accounts Receivable team members to ensure invoices are accurate, purchase orders are properly applied, and payments are processed in a timely manner.
This is a temporary position intended to assist the department during a period of increased workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Customer Invoices: Purchase order matching/reconciliation and invoice corrections/adjustments
- Manage the application of valid/correct POs by responding to Sales Representative communications and applying valid/correct POs to open invoices for customer billing.
- Ensure that all POs match the total amount on invoices and surgery details. Work collaboratively with Sales Representatives to address any PO discrepancies
- Process credit card or ACH transactions. Generate reports for credit card or ACH transactions.
- Assist A/R Specialists as needed
Qualifications (Knowledge & Skills)
Basic understanding of accounts receivable, billing processes, and PO reconciliation
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to identify discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion

Experience & Education
- Experience: 1+ year of related experience preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or on-the-job training a plus

- Office-based role; no travel required
